This 51 year old Breton started out in cosmetics by working in marketing for major international brands: first Biotherm and then Guerlain.
With the arrival of the Internet, he plunged into technology in 1999.
He created a start-up that became the leader in Europe in less than 10 years, before being bought out. He then decided to support cosmetics brands in their digital marketing innovations by creating MAP / EMULSION, a consulting agency based in the heart of the Aix-Marseille French Tech.
A committed entrepreneur, Philippe Guguen has transformed his company into a Mission Company, one of the top 500 in France. MAP / EMULSION is a member of the Communauté des Entreprises à Mission.
In 2021 MAP / EMULSION has developed a solution to accelerate responsible consumption, by providing access to a tamper-proof digital passport for each product, where the consumer can access verifiable proof of the manufacturer’s commitments. The first thousands of products are now circulating around the world with this innovation called SORGA.
Philippe Guguen has also been President of the French Association of Beauty Consultants for 13 years.
