From a testing laboratory to a center of expertise of sun protection, WENEOS has been specialized in the evaluation of the sun protection of cosmetic products for 25 years. More than 20% of our activity is dedicated to research and innovation for continuous improvement of testing.We have developed innovative methods (SPF, UVAPF, Water Resistance, Blue Light, Infrared, Sand & Sweat Resistance, etc.), as well as new technologies (robotic spreading, reproducible substrates, etc.) aimed at enabling better reliability of tests thanks to better reproducibility and better correlation of results.
A pioneer in this field, WENEOS is a stakeholder in the standards.
In Vitro Sunscreen Testing
With a wide range of tests covering all needs and also European, Asia, USA and International regulations (SPF, UVA-PF, Critical Wavelength...), WENEOS (ex HelioScreen) assists you in full compliance with the latest standards (ISO 24443:2021, ISO/CD 23675, FDA rev. 2011, Boots Star Rating system ref. 2011...) and official methods. Specific methods (Blue Light, Infrared, Visible Light, Sand Resistance...) are also available to help you for development and quality control of your sunscreen products
Training (sun protection evaluation)
HelioScreen has acquired over these years a solid and specific experience in In Vitro solar tests.
As a benchmark laboratory in this field, we offer theoretical and practical training sessions.
Module 1 :
Theorical presentation of mechanisum for In Vitro testing.
Testing principles and rules including a part for regulatory.
Module 2 :
Scaling UV transmission and evaluating sun protection
Module 3 :
Mastering sun protection evaluation / Specific method.
